Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 10:1-10

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchmen opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." Jesus used this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them.

Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

The Healing Message: A Happy And Prosperous Life

God's desire is for us to have a life full of prosperity and joy. But why is it that a lot of us are living a life full of trouble and misery? Why does God allow these things to happen to us?

Matthew 18: 18-20 - "And so I tell all of you: what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.

And I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."

James 4:7 - So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you.

-The power of life is given to us. It is for us to choose what we want. We are given the power to choose. Say no to evil and the misery and death that comes with. Choose life and you'll enjoy the goodness and prosperity that God has prepared for you ever since the creation of the world. Do not allow anything to come to your life that will only bring you trouble and hardships. Say no to these things!

1 Timothy 6:17 - "......but in God, who generously gives us everything for our enjoyment."

How can we have a happy and prosperous life?

1) Know what you have allowed in your life that causes troubles instead of a happy and prosperous life.

Heb. 12:14-18 - "Try to be at peace with everyone, and try to live a holy life, because no one will see the Lord without it. Guard against turning back from the grace of God. Let no one become like a bitter plant that grows up and causes many troubles with its poison. Let no one become immoral or unspiritual like Esau, who for a single meal sold his rights as the older son. Afterward, you know, he wanted to receive his father's blessing; but he was turned back, because he could not find any way to change what he had done, even though in tears he looked for it.

You have not come, as the people of Israel came, to what you can feel, to Mount Sinai with its blazing fire, the darkness and the gloom, the storm,......"

- Unforgiveness and bitterness is the root of all troubles and sickness that befall us.

2) Let go and let God.
- Let go of your unforgiveness and bitterness and let the joy of the Lord take over your life. Let God rule your heart and let the grace of God flow into your life.

James 4:6-8 - But the grace that God gives is even stronger. As the scripture says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you. Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners! Purify your hearts, you hypocrites!

3) Come and join a fellowship of believers who loves a happy and prosperous life.

Mat. 18:19-20 - "And I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."

4) Start renewing your mind. Remove all things that causes you troubles from your thoughts.

Rom. 12:2 - Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.

5) Let go of those fearful and worrisome images in your mind. Then fill your mind with things that are beautiful, true, noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable. For what you believe will happen to you. Whatever you imagine, God will make it happen.

Philippians 4:8 - In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

Eph. 3:20 - To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of:....

6) Keep quiet. Tame your tongue. Stop complaining. Stop murmuring. Stop talking bad words.

James 3:2-6 - All of us often make mistakes. But if a person never makes a mistake in what he says, he is perfect and is also able to control his whole being. We put a bit into the mouth of a horse to make it obey us, and we are able to make it go where we want. Or think of a ship: big as it is and driven by such strong winds, it can be steered by a very small rudder, and it goes wherever the pilot wants it to go. So it is with the tongue: small as it is, it can boast about great things.

Just think how large a forest can be set on fire by a tiny flame! And the tongue is like a fire. It is a world of wrong, occupying its place in our bodies and spreading evil through our whole being. It sets on fire the entire course of our existence with the fire that comes to it from hell itself.

- Let good and happy words flow out of your mouth. Learn to praise God in all circumstances.

7) "Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands - all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you." - Luke 6:38

- Let go of your doubts and unbelief about giving your tithes and offerings. Give to God. God doesn't need your money. But his ministry does. So, more people will hear the message of salvation. Give and you shall receive. You can never outdo the generosity of God.

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading for the Healing Message by Bro. Mike Z. Velarde

Luke 2: 41-52 - Every year the parents of Jesus went to Jerusalem for the Passover Festival. When Jesus was twelve years old, they went to the festival as usual. When the festival was over, they started back home, but the boy Jesus stayed in Jerusalem. His parents did not know this; they thought that he was with the group, so they travelled a whole day and then started looking for him among their relatives and friends. They did not find him, so they went back to Jerusalem looking for him. On the third day they found him in the Temple, sitting with the Jewish teachers, listening to them and asking questions.
All who heard him were amazed at his intelligent answers. His parents were astonished when they saw him, and his mother said to him, "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been terribly worried trying to find you." He answered them, "Why did you have to look for me? Didn't you know that I had to be in my Father's house?" But they did not understand his answer. So Jesus went back with them to Nazareth, where he was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. Jesus grew both in body and in wisdom, gaining favor with God and men.

Seven (7) Secrets In Order To Grow In Divine Wisdom, Stature And Gain The Favor Of God and Men:

1) Submission and Obedience To Divine and Human Authority

2) Consistent Submissive and Obedient Attitude
- Jesus was submissive and obedient from childhood until his death on the cross.
Philippians 2:5-8 - The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had: He always had the nature of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to become equal with God. Instead of this, of his own free will he gave up all he had, and took the nature of a servant. He became like man and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death - his death on the cross.

3) Remain humble despite the praises, despite growing in stature.
- Remain simple and humble all the time despite of your successes, despite the wisdom and knowledge that God has given you. Philippians 2:3-5 - Don't do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves. And look out for one another's interests, not just for your own. The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had.

4) Live a purpose-driven life, according to God's purpose.
- Don't get distracted by anything. Focus on your purpose.
Luke 4:40-44 - After sunset all who had friends who were sick with various diseases brought them to Jesus; he placed his hands on every one of them and healed them all. Demons also went out from many people, screaming, "You are the Son of God!" Jesus gave the demons an order and would not let them speak, because they knew he was the Messiah. At daybreak Jesus left the town and went off to a lonely place. The people started looking for him, and when they found him, they tried to keep him from leaving. But he said to them, "I must preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God in other towns also, because that is what God sent me to do." So he preached in the synagogues throughout the country.

The purpose of Jesus is to look for the lost. Luke 19:9-10 - Jesus said to him, "Salvation has come to this house today, for this man, also, is a descendant of Abraham. The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."

5) Live a well-organized and fruitful life.
Mark 6:30-31 - The apostles returned and met with Jesus, and told him all they had done and taught. There were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his disciples didn't even have time to eat. So he said to them, "Let us go off but ourselves to some place where we will be alone and you can rest a while."

6) Live a prayerful life up to the end.
John 11:41-42 - They took the stone away. Jesus looked up and said, "I thank you, Father, that you listen to me. I know that you always listen to me, but I say this for the sake of the people here, so that they will believe that you sent me."
- Our relationship with God is known through our prayers.

7) Accomplish your mission in life.
-Jesus never stopped working to accomplish the work he was sent to do. He fulfilled his Father's mission to save the lost. He was never distracted by anything. Against all odds, he fulfilled his mission.
John 19:20-30 - Many people read it, because the place where Jesus was crucified was not far from the city. The notice was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. The chief priests said to Pilate,"Do not write 'The King Of The Jews,' but rather, 'This man said, I am the King of the Jews.' " Pilate answered, "What I have written stays written." After the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier. They also took the robe, which was made of one piece of woven cloth without any seams in it. The soldiers said to one another, "Let's not tear it; let's throw dice to see who will get it." This happened in order to make the scripture come true: "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." And this is what the soldiers did. Standing close to Jesus' cross were his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing there; so he said to his mother, "He is your son." Then he said to the disciple, "She is your mother." From that time the disciple took her to live in his home. Jesus knew that by now
everything had been completed; and in order to make the scripture come true, he said, "I am thirsty." A bowl was there, full of cheap wine; so a sponge was soaked in the wine, put on a stalk of hyssop, and lifted up to his lips. Jesus drank the wine and said, "It is finished!" Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Miracles Are Always Available On Request

Gospel Reading: John 2:1-11

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine." "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come." His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water": so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink, but you have saved the best till now." This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

Seven (7) Things/Secrets That A Believer Should Know About Miracles:

1) Miracles are always available on request.

2) Miracles happen if you do something to make it happen.
- You have to work for it to happen and involve Jesus in that work. John 5:17 - "Jesus answered them, "My Father is always working, and I too must work."

3) Know that it is God Himself who puts the desire in our hearts:
a) to make a request
b) to act (to receive that request)

4) Know that miracles cannot and will not happen when there is doubt and unbelief.
Mk. 6:1-6 - Jesus left the place and went back to his hometown, followed by his disciples. On the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue. Many people were there; and when they heard him, they were all amazed. "Where did he get all this?" they asked. " What wisdom is this that has been given him? How does he perform miracles? Isn't he the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon? Aren't his sisters living here?" And so they rejected him. Jesus said to them, "Prophets are respected everywhere except in their own hometown and by their relatives and their family." He was not able to perform any miracles there, except that he placed his hands on a few sick people and healed them. He was greatly surprised, because the people did not have faith.

5) Know that Jesus Christ the miracle worker is not bothered by anything.
Mk. 5:35-42 - While Jesus was saying this, some messengers came from Jairus' house and told him, "Your daughter has died. Why bother the Teacher any longer?" Jesus paid no attention to what they said, but told him, "Don't be afraid, only believe." Then he did not let anyone else go on with him except Peter and James and his brother John. They arrived at Jairus' house, where Jesus saw the confusion and heard all the loud crying and wailing. He went in and said to them, "Why all this confusion? Why are you crying? The child is not dead - she is only sleeping!" They started making fun of him, so he put them all out, took the child's father and mother and his three disciples, and went into the room where the child was lying. He took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha, koum," which means, "Little girl, I tell you to get up!" She got up at once and started walking around. (She was twelve years old.) When this happened, they were completely amazed.

6) Know that Jesus Christ works with those who truly believe in him.
Mk. 16:19-20 - After the Lord Jesus had talked with them, he was taken up to heaven and sat at the right side of God. The disciples went and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and proved that their preaching was true by the miracles that were performed.
Mt. 18:19-20 - "And I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."

7) Hope
Jn. 5:1-9 - After this, Jesus went to Jerusalem for a religious festival. Near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem there is a pool with five porches; in Hebrew it is called Bethzatha. A large crowd of sick people were lying on the porches - the blind, the lame, and the paralyzed. A man was there who had been sick for thirty-eight years. Jesus saw him lying there, and he knew that the man had been sick for such a long time; so he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" The sick man answered, "Sir, I don't have anyone here to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up; while I am trying to get in, somebody else gets there first." Jesus said to him, "Get up, pick up your mat, and walk." Immediately the man got well; he picked up his mat and started walking.

These are the things shared by our servant leader on how to avail of God's miracles.
