Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Matthew 4:1-11
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the Devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "
Then the Devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "
Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
Again, the Devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only!' "
Then the Devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
How important the Scriptures are to God?
1) God breathed onto the Scriptures. He gave life to it. It's main purpose (the Scriptures) is to bring people to the path of righteousness. So, unless we live according to the Scriptures, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
2) Everything written in the Scriptures was written to teach us, in order that we might have hope through the patience and encouragement which the Scriptures give us.(Romans 15:4)
The Lord says, "Now, let's settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool. If you will only obey me, you will eat the good things the land produces.(Isaiah 1:18)
This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to us.(Romans 5:5)
3) The Scriptures reveals the secrets to a happy and prosperous life.
Matthew 13:11 - Jesus answered, "The knowledge about the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them."
Joshua 1:6-8 - Be determined and confident, for you will be the leader of these people as they occupy this land which I promised their ancestors. Just be determined, be confident; and make sure that you obey the whole Law that my servant Moses gave you. Do not neglect any part of it and you will succeed wherever you go. Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Malachi 3:6-11 - "I am the Lord, and I do not change. And so you, the descendants of Jacob, are not yet completely lost. You, like your ancestors before you, have turned away from my laws and have not kept them. Turn back to me, and I will turn to you. But you ask, 'What must we do to turn back to you?' I ask you, is it right for a person to cheat God? Of course not, yet you are cheating me. 'How?' you ask. In the matter of tithes and offerings. A curse is on all of you because the whole nation is cheating me. Bring the full amount of your tithes to the Temple, so that there will be plenty of food there. Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things. I will not let insects destroy your crops, and your grapevines will be loaded with grapes.
4) The Scriptures is the good news that saves. All who will listen, believe and have faith in it, will be saved.
Mark 16:15-17 - He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. Believers will be given the power to perform miracles: they will drive out demons in my name, they will speak in strange tongues ;...
5) The Scriptures sets us free from the slavery of sin and vices.
John 8:31-36 - So Jesus said to those who believed in him, "If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." "We are the descendants of Abraham," they answered, "and we have never been anybody's slaves. What do you mean, then, by saying, 'You will be free?' " Jesus said to them, "I am telling you the truth: everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave does not belong to a family permanently, but a son belongs there forever. If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free.
6) The Scriptures empowers believers to heal the sick.
Mark 16:17-18 - Believers will be given the power to perform miracles: they will drive out demons in my name, they will speak in strange tongues ; if they pick up snakes of drink any poison, they will not be harmed; they will place their hands on sick people, and these will get well."
Ephesians 3:20 - To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of:...
7)The Scriptures is effective and powerful, always.
Matthew 5:17-18 - "Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true. Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with-not until the end of all things."
May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Luke 9:57-62
As they went on their way, a man said to Jesus, "I will follow you wherever you go."
Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lie down and rest." He said to another man, "Follow me." But that man said, "Sir, first let me go back and bury my father." Jesus answered, "Let the dead bury their own dead. You go and proclaim the Kingdom of God." Someone else said, "I will follow you, sir; but first let me go and say goodbye to my family." Jesus said to him, "Anyone who starts to plow and then keeps looking back is of no use for the Kingdom of God."
The Healing Message: Worthy Servants Of God
How can we become worthy servants of God thus making our services and works acceptable to him?
1. We must be ready to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to him.
Romans 12:1-4 - So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.
And because of God's gracious gift to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead, be modest in your thinking, and judge yourself according to the amount of faith that God has given you. We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions.
2. We must humble ourselves all the time and offer your talents and skills to God.
Philippians 2:3-8 - Don't do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves. And look out for one another's interests, not just for your own. The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had:
He always had the nature of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to remain equal with God. Instead of this, of his own free will he gave up all he had, and took the nature of a servant. He became like a human being and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death - his death on the cross.
3. Be submissive and obedient always to the word of God and to the rules and regulations of the ministry.
4. Be honest and faithful to your colleague.
Matthew 25:21 - 'Well done, you good and faithful servant!' said his master. 'You have been faithful in managing small amounts, so I will put you in charge of large amounts. Come on in and share my happiness!'
- Honesty involves faithfulness to time regulation. Follow the time schedules faithfully.
- Honesty involves giving your best talent to God.
- Honesty involves treasure: Be honest of what treasure is given you.
5. Do your work without complaining.
Philippians 2:14-16 - Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be innocent and pure as God's perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky, as you offer them the message of life. If you do so, I shall have reason to be proud of you on the Day of Christ, because it will show that all my effort and work have not been wasted.
6. Forget your faults and weaknesses, past life and focus your life on Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:12-13 - I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself. Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead.
Luke 9:62 - Jesus said to him, "Anyone who starts to plow and then keeps looking back is of no use for the Kingdom of God."
7. Be consistent in all things.
Philippians 3:14-16 - So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above.
All of us who are spirtually mature should have this same attitude. But if some of you have a different attitude, God will make this clear to you. However that may be, let us go forward according to the same rules we have followed until now.
Hebrews 13:7-8 - Remember your former leaders, who spoke God's message to you. Think back on how they lived and died, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
To summarize:
- If you want to serve God, follow and obey God unconditionally.
May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Mark 10:17-31
As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him, "Good Teacher," he asked, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good - except God alone. You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.' " "Teacher," he declared, "all these I have kept since I was a boy." Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said, "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!" The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, "Who then can be saved?" Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!" "I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields - and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first."
The Healing Message: The Goodness Of God
- God is good all the time
- The goodness of God is immeasurable
Seven Things About The Goodness Of God:
1.) God is good to those who fear and trust him.
Psalm 31:14-20 - But my trust is in you, O Lord; you are my God. I am always in your care; save me from my enemies, from those who persecute me. Look on your servant with kindness; save me in your constant love. I call to you, Lord; don't let me be disgraced. May the wicked be disgraced; may they go silently down to the world of the dead. Silence those liars - all the proud and arrogant who speak with contempt about the righteous. How wonderful are the good things you keep for those who honor you! Everyone knows how good you are, how securely you protect those who trust you. You hide them in the safety of your presence from the plots of others; in a safe shelter you hide them from the insults of their enemies.
2.) God works positively for good and in unfavorable circumstances to those who fear and trust him.
- You may be asking, "If God loves us, why am I living this miserable life? Why am I having this troubled life? Why all these hardships? - Because God loves you.
- The goodness of God is not affected by unfavorable circumstances. Remember what happened to Joseph, the son of Jacob? Genesis 50:19-20 - But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid; I can't put myself in the place of God. You plotted evil against me, but God turned it into good, in order to preserve the lives of many people who are alive today because of what happened.
Romans 8:28 - We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.
3.) God demonstrates his goodness in his promises.
Isaiah 1:19 - If you will only obey me, you will eat the good things the land produces.
Joshua 23:14-16 - "Now my time has come to die. Every one of you knows in his heart and soul that the Lord your God has given you all the good things that he promised. Every promise he made has been kept; not one has failed. But just as he kept every promise that he made to you, so he will carry out every threat. If you do not keep the covenant which the Lord your God commanded you to keep and if you serve and worship other gods, then in his anger he will punish you, and soon none of you will be left in this good land that he has given you."
- All of God's promises have conditions.
4.) God demonstrates his goodness in his gifts.
James 1:16-18 - Do not be deceived, my dear friends! Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning. By his own will he brought us into being through the word of truth, so that we should have first place among all his creatures.
5.) God demonstrates his goodness in his actions.
Acts 10:38 - You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the Devil, for God was with him.
Nehemiah 9:19-21 - But you did not abandon them there in the desert, for your mercy is great. You did not take away the cloud or the fire that showed them the path by day and night. In your goodness you told them what they should do; you fed them manna and gave them water to drink. Through forty years in the desert you provided all that they needed; their clothing never wore out, and their feet were not swollen with pain.
6.) God demonstrates his goodness in his readiness to forgive all our sins.
Isaiah 1:18 - The Lord says, "Now, let's settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool."
- Remember the Parable about the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32)
Romans 8:31-39 - In view of all this, what can we say? If God is for us, who can be against us? Certainly not God, who did not even keep back his own Son, but offered him for us all! He gave us his Son - will he not also freely give us all things? Who will accuse God's chosen people? God himself declares them not guilty! Who then, will condemn them? Not Christ Jesus, who died, or rather, who was raised to life and is at the right side of God, pleading with him for us! Who, then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it, or hardship or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death? AS the scripture says, "For your sake we are in danger of death at all times; we are treated like sheep that are going to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below - there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.
7.) God demonstrates his goodness through signs, wonders and miracles.
- If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
- Don't ask just for material things, ask God for the Holy Spirit. For without the Spirit of Christ, you will never understand the Gospel and without the Holy Spirit in you, you will never understand the goodness of God.
Luke 11:11-13 - "Would any of you who are fathers give your son a snake when he asks for fish? Or would you give him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 15:1-17
"I am the real vine, and my Father is the gardener. He breaks off every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and he prunes every branch that does bear fruit, so that it will be clean and bear more fruit. You have been made clean already by the teaching I have given you. Remain united to me, and I will remain united to you. A branch cannot bear fruit by itself; it can do so only if it remains in the vine. In the same way you cannot bear fruit unless you remain in me."
"I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me. Those who do not remain in me are thrown out like a branch and dry up; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, where they are burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it. My Father's glory is shown by your bearing much fruit; and in this way you become my disciples. I love you just as the Father loves me; remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love."
"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you. The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them. And you are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants any longer, because servants do not know what their master is doing. Instead, I call you friends, because I have told you everything I heard from my Father. You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures. And so the Father will give you whatever you ask of him in my name. This, then, is what I command you: love one another.
The Healing Message: Spiritual Growth and Fruitfulness
- We did not choose God; he chose us.
- Spiritual growth should be seen in us. We must be fruitful.
- Anything that grows, changes.
Seven conditions in order to grow spiritually and bear much fruit:
1) Remain in Jesus all the time. A branch cannot bear fruit if it separates from the vine. Be in continuous contact with the Lord in order to grow spiritually and be fruitful.
Gal. 5:22-23 - But the spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control.
2) Choice of environment, company and community
Psalm 1:1-3 - Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.
Acts 4:20-31 - "For we cannot stop speaking of what we ourselves have seen and heard." So the Council warned them even more strongly and then set them free. They saw that it was impossible to punish them, because the people were all praising God for what had happened. The man on whom this miracle of healing had been performed was over forty years old.
As soon as Peter and John were set free, they returned to their group and told them what the chief priests and the elders had said. Whent the believers heard it, they all joined together in prayer to God: "Master and Creator of heaven, earth, and sea, and all that is in them! By means of the Holy Spirit you spoke through our ancestor David, your servant, when he said, 'Why were the Gentiles furious; why did people make their useless plots? The kings of the earth prepared themselves, and the rulers met together against the Lord and his Messiah.'
For indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together in this city with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Jesus, your holy Servant, whom you made Messiah. They gathered to do everything that you by your power and will had already decided would happen. And now, Lord, take notice of the threats they have made, and allow us, your servants, to speak your message with all boldness. Reach out your hand to heal, and grant that wonders and miracles may be performed through the name of your holy Servant Jesus."
When they finished praying, the place where they were meeting was shaken. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to proclaim God's message with boldness.
3) Pruning (passing through trials and persecutions) and self-discipline to face every trial positively
John 15:2 - He breaks off every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and he prunes every branch that does bear fruit, so that it will be clean and bear more fruit.
James 1:2-4 - My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
4) Submission and obedience to rules and authority (human and divine)
Luke 2:51-52 - So Jesus went back with them to Nazareth, where he was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. Jesus grew both in body and in wisdom, gaining favor with God and people.
Romans 13:6 - That is also why you pay taxes, because the authorities are working for God when they fulfill their duties.
5) Listening to and understanding the word of God and applying it on your day to day life
Matthew 13:23 - "And the seeds sown in the good soil stand for those who hear the message and understand it: they bear fruit, some as much as one hundred, others sixty, and others thirty."
- The word of God heals
- It cleans your mind from evil thoughts
6) Death to your old life and lifestyle
John 12:24 - I am telling you the truth: a grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. If it does die, then it produces many grains.
7) Generosity
Acts 2:40-47 - Peter made his appeal to them and with many other words he urged them, saying, "Save yourselves from the punishment coming on this wicked people!" Many of them believed his message and were baptized, and about three thousand people were added to the group that day. They spent their time in learning from the apostles, taking part in the fellowship, and sharing in the fellowship meals and the prayers.
Many miracles and wonders were being done through the apostles, and everyone was filled with awe. All the believers continued together in close fellowship and shared their belongings with one another. They would sell their property and possessions, and distribute the money among all, according to what each one needed. Day after day they met as a group in the Temple, and they had their meals together in their homes, eating with glad and humble hearts, praising God, and enjoying the good will of all the people. And every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.
- Give and you shall receive. You cannot outdo God in generosity.
May you have a happy and prosperous life!
