Gospel Reading for the Healing Message by Bro. Mike Z. Velarde

Luke 2: 41-52 - Every year the parents of Jesus went to Jerusalem for the Passover Festival. When Jesus was twelve years old, they went to the festival as usual. When the festival was over, they started back home, but the boy Jesus stayed in Jerusalem. His parents did not know this; they thought that he was with the group, so they travelled a whole day and then started looking for him among their relatives and friends. They did not find him, so they went back to Jerusalem looking for him. On the third day they found him in the Temple, sitting with the Jewish teachers, listening to them and asking questions.
All who heard him were amazed at his intelligent answers. His parents were astonished when they saw him, and his mother said to him, "Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been terribly worried trying to find you." He answered them, "Why did you have to look for me? Didn't you know that I had to be in my Father's house?" But they did not understand his answer. So Jesus went back with them to Nazareth, where he was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. Jesus grew both in body and in wisdom, gaining favor with God and men.

Seven (7) Secrets In Order To Grow In Divine Wisdom, Stature And Gain The Favor Of God and Men:

1) Submission and Obedience To Divine and Human Authority

2) Consistent Submissive and Obedient Attitude
- Jesus was submissive and obedient from childhood until his death on the cross.
Philippians 2:5-8 - The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had: He always had the nature of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to become equal with God. Instead of this, of his own free will he gave up all he had, and took the nature of a servant. He became like man and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death - his death on the cross.

3) Remain humble despite the praises, despite growing in stature.
- Remain simple and humble all the time despite of your successes, despite the wisdom and knowledge that God has given you. Philippians 2:3-5 - Don't do anything from selfish ambition or from a cheap desire to boast, but be humble toward one another, always considering others better than yourselves. And look out for one another's interests, not just for your own. The attitude you should have is the one that Christ Jesus had.

4) Live a purpose-driven life, according to God's purpose.
- Don't get distracted by anything. Focus on your purpose.
Luke 4:40-44 - After sunset all who had friends who were sick with various diseases brought them to Jesus; he placed his hands on every one of them and healed them all. Demons also went out from many people, screaming, "You are the Son of God!" Jesus gave the demons an order and would not let them speak, because they knew he was the Messiah. At daybreak Jesus left the town and went off to a lonely place. The people started looking for him, and when they found him, they tried to keep him from leaving. But he said to them, "I must preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God in other towns also, because that is what God sent me to do." So he preached in the synagogues throughout the country.

The purpose of Jesus is to look for the lost. Luke 19:9-10 - Jesus said to him, "Salvation has come to this house today, for this man, also, is a descendant of Abraham. The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."

5) Live a well-organized and fruitful life.
Mark 6:30-31 - The apostles returned and met with Jesus, and told him all they had done and taught. There were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his disciples didn't even have time to eat. So he said to them, "Let us go off but ourselves to some place where we will be alone and you can rest a while."

6) Live a prayerful life up to the end.
John 11:41-42 - They took the stone away. Jesus looked up and said, "I thank you, Father, that you listen to me. I know that you always listen to me, but I say this for the sake of the people here, so that they will believe that you sent me."
- Our relationship with God is known through our prayers.

7) Accomplish your mission in life.
-Jesus never stopped working to accomplish the work he was sent to do. He fulfilled his Father's mission to save the lost. He was never distracted by anything. Against all odds, he fulfilled his mission.
John 19:20-30 - Many people read it, because the place where Jesus was crucified was not far from the city. The notice was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. The chief priests said to Pilate,"Do not write 'The King Of The Jews,' but rather, 'This man said, I am the King of the Jews.' " Pilate answered, "What I have written stays written." After the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his clothes and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier. They also took the robe, which was made of one piece of woven cloth without any seams in it. The soldiers said to one another, "Let's not tear it; let's throw dice to see who will get it." This happened in order to make the scripture come true: "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." And this is what the soldiers did. Standing close to Jesus' cross were his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing there; so he said to his mother, "He is your son." Then he said to the disciple, "She is your mother." From that time the disciple took her to live in his home. Jesus knew that by now
everything had been completed; and in order to make the scripture come true, he said, "I am thirsty." A bowl was there, full of cheap wine; so a sponge was soaked in the wine, put on a stalk of hyssop, and lifted up to his lips. Jesus drank the wine and said, "It is finished!" Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
