Good News Reading For The Healing Message: Matthew 7:13-14

"Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it."

The Healing Message: How do we find the road that leads to life?

1) We must continue to listen to the good news about life.

He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned."-Mark 16:15-16

2) We must have faith in God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who is the source of life.

"I am telling you the truth: the time is coming-the time has already come-when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will come to life."-John 5:25

The purpose of God's word is to change our thoughts, our behavior, our whole being.

3) Don't go with those who laugh at and speak evil of God.

Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God.-Psalm 1:1

4) Obey all of God's commands.

"Not everyone who calls me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do. When the Judgment Day comes, many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord! In your name we spoke God's message, by your name we drove out many demons and performed many miracles!' Then I will say to them, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you wicked people!' "-Matthew 7:21-23

Disobedience is the greatest sin of mankind.

5) Repent and stop our sinful ways.

At that time some people were there who told Jesus about the Galileans whom Pilate had killed while they were offering sacrifices to God. Jesus answered them, "Because those Galileans were killed in that way, do you think it proves that they were worse sinners than all other Galileans? No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did. What about those eighteen people in Siloam who were killed when the tower fell on them? Do you suppose this proves that they were worse than all the other people living in Jerusalem? No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did."-Luke 13:1-5

6) We must forgive and forget the past.

I do not claim that I have already succeeded or have already become perfect. I keep striving to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has already won me to himself. Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead. So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above. All of us who are spiritually mature should have this same attitude. But if some of you have a different attitude, God will make this clear to you. However that may be, let us go forward according to the same rules we have followed until now.-Philippians 3:12-16

7) Value the life of others as you do yours.

"Then the King will say to the people on his right, 'Come, you that are blessed by my Father! Come and possess the kingdom which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world. I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you took care of me, in prison and you visited me.' The righteous will then answer him, 'When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we ever see you a stranger and welcome you in our homes, or naked and clothe you? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?' The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me!' "-Matthew 25:34-40

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 8:31-47

So Jesus said to those who believed in him, "If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

"We are the descendants of Abraham," they answered, "and we have never been anybody's slaves. What do you mean, then, by saying, 'You will be free'?"

Jesus said to them, "I am telling you the truth: everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave does not belong to a family permanently, but a son belongs there forever. If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free. I know you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are trying to kill me, because you will not accept my teaching. I talk about what my Father has shown me, but you do what your father has told you."

They answered him, "Our father is Abraham."

"If you really were Abraham's children," Jesus replied, "you would do the same things that he did. All I have ever done is to tell you the truth I heard from God, yet you are trying to kill me. Abraham did nothing like this! You are doing what your father did."

"God himself is the only Father we have," they answered, "and we are his true children."

Jesus said to them, "If God really were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and now I am here. I did not come on my own authority, but he sent me. Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to listen to my message. You are the children of your father, the Devil, and you want to follow your father's desires. From the very beginning he was a murderer and has never been on the side of truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is only doing what is natural to him, because he is a liar and the father of all lies. But I tell the truth, and that is why you do not believe me. Which one of you can prove that I am guilty of sin? If I tell the truth, then why do you not believe me? He who comes from God listens to God's words. You, however, are not from God, and that is why you will not listen."

The Healing Message: Truths about life

1) Life is but a breath.

How short you have made my life! In your sight my lifetime seems nothing. Indeed every living being is no more than a puff of wind...-Psalm 39:5

Now listen to me, you that say, "Today or tomorrow we will travel to a certain city, where we will stay a year and go into business and make a lot of money." You don't even know what your life tomorrow will be! You are like a puff of smoke, which appears for a moment and then disappears.-James 4:13-14

2) Life is too short to keep on worrying. Worry does not add years to your life. It will actually shorten it.

"This is why I tell you: do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn't life worth more than food? And isn't the body worth more than clothes? Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds? Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?"-Matthew 6:25-27

3) Life comes from God.

In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to people.-John 1:1-4

4) God wants us to live long in the land.

"I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God's blessing and God's curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life. Love the Lord your God, obey him and be faithful to him, and then you and your descendants will live long in the land that he promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."-Deuteronomy 30:19-20

5) All have sinned and fall into the culture of death. And it is Jesus who sets us free.

Anxiety, worry and fear are the consequences of sin.

But now God's way of putting people right with himself has been revealed. It has nothing to do with law, even though the Law of Moses and the prophets gave their witness to it. God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all: everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence. But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free.-Romans 3:21-24

6) God loves life because God is life.

7) It is not how you die but how you lived.

"I am telling you the truth: those who hear my words and believe in him who sent me have eternal life. They will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life. I am telling you the truth: the time is coming-the time has already come-when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will come to life. Just as the Father is himself the source of life, in the same way he has made his Son to be the source of life. And he has given the Son the right to judge, because he is the Son of Man. Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned."-John 5:24-29

But Jesus answered, "The scripture says, 'Human beings cannot live on bread alone, but need every word that God speaks.' "-Matthew 4:4

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Good News Reading For The Healing Message: Colossians 3:1-10

You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Your real life is Christ and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory!

You must put to death, then, the earthly desires at work in you, such as sexual immorality, indecency, lust, evil passions, and greed (for greed is a form of idolatry). Because of such things God's anger will come upon those who do not obey him. At one time you yourselves used to live according to such desires, when your life was dominated by them.

But now you must get rid of all these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings. No insults or obscene talk must ever come from your lips. Do not lie to one another, for you have put off the old self with its habits and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.

The Healing Message: Why do we celebrate life?

1) We celebrate life because of the blessing of LIFE.

Life is beautiful. And God himself blessed our lives when he ordained us to be somebody even before we were born.

Listen to me, distant nations, you people who live far away! Before I was born, the Lord chose me and appointed me to be his servant.-Isaiah 49:1

...you saw me before I was born. The days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book, before any of them ever began.-Psalm 139:16

We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.-Romans 8:28

2) We celebrate life because of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ's resurrection is the cornerstone of Christianity. It is Jesus overcoming death. It is Jesus overcoming Satan. If Jesus won over Satan and death, how much more over our difficulties and hardships in life?

3) We celebrate life because of the life that God shared with us.

God's life is weaved into our lives. He created us in his own image.

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 5:17-30

Jesus answered them, "My Father is always working, and I too must work." This saying made the Jewish authorities all the more determined to kill him; not only had he broken the Sabbath law, but he had said that God was his own Father and in this way had made himself equal with God.

So Jesus answered them, "I tell you the truth: the Son can do nothing on his own; he does only what he sees his Father doing. What the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. He will show him even greater things to do than this, and you will all be amazed. Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, in the same way the Son gives life to those he wants to. Nor does the Father himself judge anyone. He has given his Son the full right to judge, so that all will honor the Son in the same way as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned.

"I can do nothing on my own authority; I judge only as God tells me, so my judgment is right, because I am not trying to do what I want, but only what he who sent me wants."

The Healing Message: Things That Must Be Remembered About Life

1) Remember, Jesus said: "He who listens and believes the one who sent me has life."

In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to people.-John 1:1-4

- In order for us to live a life that's full, the Lord Jesus Christ must be the center of our faith.

2) Choices - We are given the free will to choose but we must choose the right things.

3) It is the will of God that man inhabit the earth, fill it with humanity and manage it well.

So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, blessed them, and said, "Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds, and all the wild animals. I have provided all kinds of grain and all kinds of fruit for you to eat; but for all the wild animals and for all the birds I have provided grass and leafy plants for food"-and it was done.-Genesis 1:27-30

4)Jesus said:"I am the way, the truth and the life."-John 14:6

Only through Jesus will we can go to the Father. Only through Jesus will we find the truth. And only through Jesus will we find life-a life that is full, worthy of the eternal life that only Jesus can give.

5) "Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned."-John 5:28-29

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 21:1-14

Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. It happened this way: Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. "I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.

He called out to them, "Friends, haven't you any fish?"

"No," they answered.

He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, "It is the Lord," he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.

Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."

Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." None of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

The Healing Message: How does the Lord Jesus Christ get himself known to his servants?

1) We recognize God's presence through the persons we do not know but who knows us and knows our needs.

Mary stood crying outside the tomb. While she was still crying, she bent over and looked in the tomb and saw two angels there dressed in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head and the other at the feet. "Woman, why are you crying?" they asked her.

She answered, "They have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they have put him!"

Then she turned around and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not know that it was Jesus. "Woman, why are you crying?" Jesus asked her. "Who is it that you are looking for?"

She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, "If you took him away, sir, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him."

Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned toward him and said in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (This means "Teacher.")
-John 20:11-16

2) We recognize God's presence through the miracles as answers to our prayers.

3) We recognize God's presence through the word that comes true.

4) We recognize God's presence through the signs that only he can do and continues to do.

-like the breaking of the bread - He sat down to eat with them, took the bread, and said the blessing; then he broke the bread and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight. -
Luke 24:30-31

5) We recognize the Lord's presence through a strange feeling while listening to the word of God.

He sat down to eat with them, took the bread, and said the blessing; then he broke the bread and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight. They said to each other, "Wasn't it like a fire burning in us when he talked to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?"-Luke 24:30-32

6) We recognize the Lord's presence through unexpected circumstances that are answers to our prayers.

In those kind of situations, we tend to think that they are just coincidences when actually they are not. It is when Jesus is carrying us through those difficulties.

7) We recognize the Lord's presence when and where there is PEACE.

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Matthew 6:24-34

"You cannot be a slave of two masters; you will hate one and love the other; you will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. This is why I tell you: do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn't life worth more than food? And isn't the body worth more than clothes? Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren't you worth much more than birds? Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it? And why worry about clothes? Look how the wild flowers grow: they do not work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes as beautiful as one of these flowers. It is God who clothes the wild grass-grass that is here today and gone tomorrow, burned up in the oven. Won't he be all the more sure to clothe you? What little faith you have! So do not start worrying: 'Where will my food come from? or my drink? or my clothes?' (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about.) Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things. So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings."

The Healing Message: The Will Of God For Our Lives

1) To live long lives and for each generation to remain on earth.

-The life of a person is the life of God. The diseases are fruits of the curse as a consequence of going against God's commands.

2) A life that is full.

"The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life-life in all its fullness."-John 10:10

3) A successful and prosperous life.

"Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."-Joshua 1:8

4) For us to have a bright future.

"I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for."-Jeremiah 29:11

5) That we be forgiven from our sins and our prayers answered.

"Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people, if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again."-2 Chronicles 7:13-14

6) That we be provided for our daily needs.

-All of God's promises in the scriptures have corresponding commands.

And with all his abundant wealth through Christ Jesus, my God will supply all your needs.-Philippians 4:19

7) For us to receive eternal life.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.-John 3:16

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Luke 24:1-12

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'" Then they remembered his words.

When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

The Healing Message: The Good News Of The Resurrection Of Our Lord Jesus Christ

1) The truth that there will be a resurrection for both the righteous and the wicked.

2) That there is truly life after death.

In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"-Luke 24:5-7

3) The scriptures and the words of Jesus Christ comes true.

4) Death has been conquered.

"Do not be surprised at this; the time is coming when all the dead will hear his voice and come out of their graves: those who have done good will rise and live, and those who have done evil will rise and be condemned."-John 5:28-29

5) A new life filled with hope

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Because of his great mercy he gave us new life by raising Jesus Christ from death. This fills us with a living hope...- 1 Peter 1:3

6) We are forgiven and justified before God through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The words "he was accepted as righteous" were not written for him alone. They were written also for us who are to be accepted as righteous, who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from death. Because of our sins he was given over to die, and he was raised to life in order to put us right with God.-Romans 4:23-25

7) Way to the Father

"Do not be worried and upset," Jesus told them. "Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house, and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so. And after I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that you will be where I am."-John 14:1-3

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Luke 23:26-49

The soldiers led Jesus away, and as they were going, they met a man from Cyrene named Simon who was coming into the city from the country. They seized him, put the cross on him, and made him carry it behind Jesus.

A large crowd of people followed him; among them were some women who were weeping and wailing for him. Jesus turned to them and said, "Women of Jerusalem! Don't cry for me, but for yourselves and your children. For the days are coming when people will say, 'How lucky are the women who never had children, who never bore babies, who never nursed them!' That will be the time when people will say to the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and to the hills, 'Hide us!' For if such things as these are done when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"

Two other men, both of them criminals, were also led out to be put to death with Jesus. When they came to the place called "The Skull," they crucified Jesus there, and the two criminals, one on his right and the other on his left. Jesus said, "Forgive them, Father! They don't know what they are doing."

They divided his clothes among themselves by throwing dice. The people stood there watching while the Jewish leaders made fun of him: "He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Messiah whom God has chosen!"

The soldiers also made fun of him: they came up to him and offered him cheap wine, and said, "Save yourself if you are the king of the Jews!"

Above him were written these words: "This is the King of the Jews."

One of the criminals hanging there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!"

The other one, however, rebuked him, saying, "Don't you fear God? You received the same sentence he did. Ours, however, is only right, because we are getting what we deserve for what we did; but he has done no wrong." And he said to Jesus, "Remember me, Jesus, when you come as King!" Jesus said to him, "I promise you that today you will be in Paradise with me."

It was about twelve o'clock when the sun stopped shining and darkness covered the whole country until three o'clock; and the curtain hanging in the Temple was torn in two. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Father! In your hands I place my spirit!" He said this and died.

The army officer saw what had happened, and he praise God, saying, "Certainly he was a good man!"

When the people who had gathered there to watch the spectacle saw what happened, they all went back home, beating their breasts in sorrow. All those who knew Jesus personally, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance to watch.

The Healing Message: Why did Jesus spoke the seven last words?

The Seven Good Messages on the Cross

For the message about Christ's death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God's power.- 1 Corinthians 1:18

1) First message on the cross: Forgiveness.

Jesus said, "Forgive them, Father! They don't know what they are doing." - Luke 23:34

- Jesus spoke these words not because those people he was referring to doesn't really know what they are doing. Those people knew that what they are doing to Jesus is bad. They know the Law. They are experts on the scriptures so they know what is good and what is bad. What they really do not know are their respective roles in fulfilling what is written in the scriptures. They did not know that they are doing what they are doing to Jesus because it has been written. They are to fulfill what is written and that they do not know.

Why did Jesus spoke these words first? - It's because this is what we need first and foremost. Forgiveness. To know how to forgive.

2) Second message on the cross: If you ask for forgiveness, God will forgive you.

One of the criminals hanging there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!"

The other one, however, rebuked him, saying, "Don't you fear God? You received the same sentence he did. Ours, however, is only right, because we are getting what we deserve for what we did; but he has done no wrong." And he said to Jesus, "Remember me, Jesus, when you come as King!" Jesus said to him, "I promise you that today you will be in Paradise with me."-Luke 23:39-43

- It will do a person no good if he challenges God. Be humble and ask for mercy and God will grant it to you.

3) Third message on the cross: Love and respect your parents.

Standing close to Jesus' cross were his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing there; so he said to his mother, "He is your son." Then he said to the disciple, "She is your mother." From that time the disciple took her to live in his home.-John 19:25-27

"Respect your father and mother" is the first commandment that has a promise added: "so that all may go well with you, and you may live a long time in the land."-Ephesians 6:2-3

- This is the reason why we Catholics love Mary so much. We are accused by others as having too much devotion for the Mother of Jesus. We cannot even compare to the love that Jesus has for his mother. He made sure that someone will take care of her when he leaves. He left Mary to his church through John the beloved. When we Catholics pray to Mary, she does not hear our prayers but because of our love and respect for her, Jesus hears and answers our prayers.

4) Fourth message on the cross: Obedience.

Jesus knew that by now everything had been completed; and in order to make the scripture come true, he said, "I am thirsty." A bowl was there, full of cheap wine; so a sponge was soaked in the wine, put on a stalk of hyssop, and lifted up to his lips.-John 19:28-29

- There is no other reason why Jesus said "I am thirsty" but to fulfill what is written. In Matthew 5:17, Jesus said, "Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true."

5) Fifth message on the cross: God will never abandon us.

At noon the whole country was covered with darkness, which lasted for three hours. At three o'clock Jesus cried out with a loud shout, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why did you abandon me?"-Mark 15:33-34

-At the cross, Jesus represented two entities: The first one is himself as God without sin and the other one as the sinful people, us. Christ felt what the sinful felt. When we sin, we are pulled away from God's loving embrace and we feel as if God had abandoned us. God does not abandon us but it is us who abandons God when we sin.

6) Sixth message on the cross: Be a finisher.

Jesus drank the wine and said, "It is finished." Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.-John 19:30

-It is a message for us. We have to finish what we started. Just like Jesus who never gave up. He was sent to fulfill a prophecy and fulfill it he did. If you stay focused on God always, God will be with you all the time.

Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God's throne.-Hebrews 12:2

7) Seventh message on the cross: Life came from God, so to God it should be returned.

It was about twelve o'clock when the sun stopped shining and darkness covered the whole country until three o'clock; and the curtain hanging in the Temple was torn in two. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Father! In your hands I place my spirit!" He said this and died. The army officer saw what had happened, and he praised God, saying, "Certainly he was a good man!"-Luke 23:44-47

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 8:31-41

"God himself is the only Father we have," they answered, "and we are his true sons."

The Healing Message

Why do we celebrate Holy Week every year?

Truths that we should know:

1) We all have sinned and was separated from God.

Romans 3:10-12 - As the Scriptures say: "There is no one who is righteous, no one who is wise or who worhips God. All have turned away from God; they have all gone wrong; no one does what is right, not even one."

What is the consequence of sin?

Psalm 107:17-20 - Some were fools, suffering because of their sins and because of their evil; they couldn't stand the sight of food and were close to death. Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and he saved them from distress. He healed them with his command and saved them from the grave.

2) Because of sin we were separated from God but we were never abandoned by God.

Matthew 6:31-34 - "So do not start worrying: "Where will my food come from? or my drink? or my clothes? (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about.) Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things. So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.

3) Only those who have pure faith in the Lord can do all things in Christ Jesus.

John 14:12-14 - "I am telling you the truth: whoever believes in me will do what I do - yes, he will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it."

4) Jesus Christ gave his all for all of us - including his life.

John 3:16 - "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life."

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 10:1-10

Jesus said, "I am telling you the truth: the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who goes in through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him; the sheep hear his voice as he calls his own sheep by name, and he leads them out. When he has brought them out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. They will not follow someone else; instead, they will run away from such a person, because they do not know his voice." Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what he meant.

So Jesus said again, "I am telling you the truth: I am the gate for the sheep. All others who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Those who come in by me will be saved; they will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness.

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Luke 19:28-44

After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it.'"

Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?" They replied, "The Lord needs it."

They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace - but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

The Healing Message

7 Lessons from the gospel

1) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we must walk by faith and not by sight.

1 Corinthians 10:13 - Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.

2) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we must always be ready to receive instructions and do as we are told to do.

3) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we do not walk blindly because God has already prepared for us in advance what we are supposed to do.

Ephesians 2:10 - God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do.

4) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we must be ready to serve God anytime and anywhere we are told to go.

5) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we should be ready to face all kinds of opposition and discouragement.

6) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we should be ready to speak the truth.

7) As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we should be ready all the time to face trials and persecutions.

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: Mark 12:18-27

Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question, "Teacher," they said, "Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, that man must marry the widow and have children for his brother. Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. At the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"

Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. Now about the dead rising - have you not read the book of Moses, in the account of the bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!"

The Healing Message

7 Truths About Life

1) Remember that God is God of the living not of the dead.

2) Remember that God does not want mankind to disappear from the face of the earth.

3) Remember that on the resurrection, there will no longer be marriage.

4) Remember that when a married couple dies, their relationship as husband and wife is over.

5) Remember that the goal of marriage is to bear children, so mankind will always inhabit the earth.

Genesis 1:27-28 - So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, blessed them, and said, "Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds, and all the wild animals.

6) Remember that God's words and commands will never change.

Matthew 5:17-19 - "Do not think that I have come to do away with the Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets. I have not come to do away with them, but to make their teachings come true. Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with - not until the end of all things. So then, whoever disobeys even the least important of the commandments and teaches others to do the same, will be least in the Kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whoever obeys the Law and teaches others to do the same, will be great in the Kingdom of heaven.

7) So then, whoever disobeys even the least important of the commandments and teaches others to do the same, will be least in the Kingdom of heaven. On the other hand, whoever obeys the Law and teaches others to do the same, will be great in the Kingdom of heaven. I tell you, then, that you will be able to enter the Kingdom of heaven only if you are more faithful than the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees in doing what God requires. - Matthew 5:19-20

Good News Reading For The Healing Message: Psalm 128:1-6

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table. Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord. May the Lord bless you from Zion all the days of your life! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, and may you live to see your children's children.

Peace be upon Israel.

The Healing Message

Steps to a blessed life.

1) Holy fear of the Lord.

Psalm 128:1-4 - Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots
around your table. Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord.

2) Wholehearted trust in God.

Psalm 37:4-5 - Seek you happiness in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desire. Give yourself to the Lord; trust in him, and he will help you...

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.

3) Obedience to God's commands.

Psalm 37:18-20 - The Lord takes care of those who obey him, and the land will be theirs forever. They will not suffer when times are bad; they will have enough in time of famine. But the wicked will die; the enemies of the Lord will vanish like
wild flowers; they will disappear like smoke.

4) Faithfulness to God. Faithfulness in all things.

Numbers 23:19 - God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done.

Psalm 37:25-26 - I am old now; I have lived a long time, but I have never seen good people abandoned by the Lord or their children begging for food. At all times they give freely and lend to others, and their children are a blessing.

5) Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night. They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do.-Psalm 1:1-3

6) Humility

Matthew 5:5 - "Happy are those who are humble; they will receive what God has promised!"

Proverbs 22:4 - Obey the Lord, be humble, and you will get riches, honor, and a long life.

7) A righteous land that implements the Law of God.

Psalm 37:27-29 - Turn away from evil and do good, and your descendants will always live in the land; for the Lord loves what is right and does not abandon his faithful people. He protects them forever, but the descendants of the wicked will be driven
out. The righteous will possess the land and live in it forever.

May you have a happy and prosperous life!

Gospel Reading For The Healing Message: John 10:1-21

Jesus said, "I am telling you the truth: the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who goes in through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for
him; the sheep hear his voice as he calls his own sheep by name, and he leads them out. When he has brought them out, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. They will not follow someone else; instead, they will
run away from such a person, because they do not know his voice." Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what he meant.

So Jesus said again, "I am telling you the truth: I am the gate for the sheep. All others who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Those who come in by me will be saved; they will come in and go
out and find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness.

"I am the good shepherd, who is willing to die for the sheep. When the hired man, who is not a shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees a wolf coming, he leaves the sheep and runs away; so the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them. The hired man
runs away because he is only a hired man and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd. As the Father knows me and I know the Father, in the same way I know my sheep and they know me. And I am willing to die for them. There are other
sheep which belong to me that are not in this sheep pen. I must bring them, too; they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock with one shepherd.

The Father loves me because I am willing to give up my life, in order that I may receive it back again. No one takes my life away from me. I give it up of my own free will. I have the right to give it up, and I have the right to take it back. This is what my Father has commanded me to do."

Again there was division among the people because of these words. Many of them were saying, "He has a demon! He is crazy! Why do you listen to him?" But others were saying, "A man with a demon could not talk like this! How could a demon give sight to blind people?"

The Healing Message

The life that God wants us to possess.

1) God wants us to live long lives on earth and for our race not to disappear.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 - "I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God's blessing and God's curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life. Love the Lord your God, obey him and be faithful to him, and then you and your descendants will live long in the land that he promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

2) God wants us to have a life - life in all its fullness.

John 10:10 - "I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness."

3) God wants us to have a happy and prosperous life.

Jeremiah 29:11 - I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

4) God wants us to have a calm and peaceful life.

John 14:1-3 - "Do not be worried and upset," Jesus told them. "Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house, and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so. And after I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that you will be where I am."

Luke 2:13-14 - Suddenly a great army of heaven's angels appeared with the angel, singing praises to God: "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom he is pleased!"

5) God wants us to have a fruitful life.

Genesis 1:27-28 - So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, blessed them, and said, "Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control."

6) God wants us to have a life full of love

John 15:12-13 - "My commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you. The greatest love you can have for your friends is to give your life for them."

7) God wants us to have a life eternal.

John 11:26-27 - "...and those who live and believe in me will never die. Do you believe this?" "Yes, Lord!" she answered. "I do believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."

May you have a happy and prosperous life!
